I mentioned libpd for iOS a while ago, and now I found that it’s ready to be played with. But as soon as I wanted to play with spectral analysis, I started missing tools, so trying to get cartopol~ and poltocart~ to work, I ended up putting in support for all the Cyclone objects. When the work was done (it compiled and ran fine) I put it on GitHub: https://github.com/niklassaers/PdTest02WithCyclone. Many thanks to Richard Lawler for giving me some guidelines about how to do this. (If I made no sense in the above, you should check out Pure Data)

  1. Dear Nik,
My name is Stanislaw Winiaszewski and I am participating at the 4th semester as a student at Aalborg University – Esbjerg. I start with the new project which theme is Interface Design: Sound and Sensors.
I was thinking of making project titled “Sound measurement tool on mobile computing device” (iPhone) and I am writing this letter with request for help.
I have the GUI already done on the iPhone and I wanted to implement the measurement functions (dB, Hz and if possible the reverberation) and I don’t know if PureData is the right tool to use? Is it possible? If not, do you know other tools which can be used?
    Best regards
    Stanislaw

  2. Dear Stanislav,
I live just around the corner, so come over for coffee and lets discuss your project. Kristoffer is also coming over for Coffee tomorrow, so you could Join him?

    Cheers

    Nik
